Basic Obedience Classes in Ballston Spa, NY
The Basic Obedience Class is for all dogs from puppy to adult. The starting age for class is 16 weeks old. There is no upper age limit. If you are looking for a Puppy Class or Advanced Class, please speak directly with Rob. The focus of the Basic Obedience Class will be the following:
- HEEL
- SIT
- DOWN
- STAND
- STAY
- COME WHEN CALLED
CLASS SPECIFICS
- LENGTH:7 WEEKS
- DAY: TBD
- TIME: TBD
- COST: $195 + TAX (class size is limited, therefore a down payment of $95.00 is required (Non-Refundable) at least 1 week prior to the class starting date in order to secure your place. The rest of the payment will be required before the start of class.)
- BRING: COPY OF CURRENT VACCINATION RECORD
Please be sure you can commit to the entire 7 weeks as the benefit to your relationship with your dog is maximized. Due to the nature of the class, we cannot give refunds for missed classes. Once the first class is attended, it is assumed that you will be completing the course. We understand things can happen and should you miss a class, please contact the instructor for a make-up time. Excessive absence cannot be accommodated and the course will have to be taken again and paid for in full.
ON YOUR FIRST DAY OF CLASS
Please arrive a little early to check in with the instructor. At that time your instructor will recommend a collar and leash appropriate for training. The items can be purchased at The Pampered Pooch and Pals at that time. A fanny pack or treat pouch are useful but not required. DO NOT BRING CRUNCH OR CHEWY TREATS. Pick a SOFT TREAT that can be cut into small pieces and swallowed quickly by your dog. Wellness Pure Rewards, Solid Gold Tiny Tots and Bill Jac Live Treats are some excellent training rewards as well as simple hot dogs cut into small pieces.
One person from your family should be selected as your dog's training partner and if possible, should attend all training sessions.
